Robert Cowton : ウィキペディア英語版 | Robert Cowton Robert Cowton was a Franciscan theologian active at the University of Oxford early in the fourteenth century. He was a follower of Henry of Ghent,〔Antonie Vos, (''The Philosophy of John Duns Scotus'' ) (2006), p. 50.〕 and in the Augustinian tradition.〔Alister E. McGrath, (''The Intellectual Origins of the European Reformation'' ) (2003), p. 84.〕 He was familiar with the doctrines of Duns Scotus and Thomas Aquinas, and attempted a synthesis of them.〔J. I.
